Think there may have been too much butter it wouldnt cream cos there was so much compared to the sugar, from the uk u see so again didnt understand the measurements… doh! added some flour and they seemed to come out a bit better…

but what did come out of the oven was super nice even if some of them came out as tray cookies as mentioned before hehe

Jane - For real! I love Gruyere more than should be allowed. I’ll have to try them. My mom used to use no yolks and they never tasted right to me. Maybe they’ve changed their blend so they taste yummy again!

Sheri - You could probably use any veg you like on this. Zucchini might be good, what with all the breading and cheese. Cauliflower would probably be nice as would asparagus. Green beans might not be bad. Give it a shot!

That looks like a must do — I do love me some egg noodles. Just a note…my new favorite is No Yolks brand, the “dumpling” size. They are really good [with your beef tips].

Plus? Don’t bathe in that. People would randomly lick you.

1 ’stick’ of butter is the same as our 1/2 ‘cup’ (yep - just as unhelpful….) or 4 oz. - this is
113.4 grams -

So 2 ’sticks’ is 8 oz. or about 227 grams -
if butter comes in a 250 gram bar, then I would just use the whole bar and add a little bit of extra flour -

Oven heated to 190 degrees celcius.

These are obviously way too precise so a little rough rounding should be done.
This looks like my next “here-have-a-cookie”-project.

This looks like a good recipe. Can I just ask how much two ’sticks’ of butter weigh? I’m pretty sure the packs of butter over here in the UK are a different size to the ones you get in the US.

I’ll have to try that with Graham Crackers, that sounds absolutely divine!

I also like Graham Cracker sandwiches, but on one side I put peanut butter, and the other Nutella and put them together. Heaven.

Second, yum-o. I would actually make and eat this. Frequently.

The beans definitely added some bulk to the recipe. Hubby really liked it, said it was very British of me to put a starch with a starch. At least it made him happy! He didn’t even mind the cheese. (Normally he hates melted cheese on anything but a burger.)

So then I started looking for peas. Or green beans… nada. Sheesh, I need to go grocery shopping!

Anyway, I did find a can of white beans, and I thought, why not!

It smells pretty good already, and it’s only been in 5 minutes.

If you ever find yourself in Hoboken, NJ, head to the Karma Kafe, on Washington between 5th and 6th. On the weekend, they do a $10 buffet with all the fresh pillowy naan bread and chicken tikka masala you can eat.

I’m drooling just thinking about it.

You see, this is what happens when I end up having a Chef Boyardee Mini-Bites bowl for dinner and nothing else.

The husband and I are hitting the buffet this weekend. He just doesn’t know it yet.

I love to put Nutella on Crumpets, which you can get anywhere in the UK, but apparently only at places like Trader Joe’s on the east coast. I wouldn’t even try to find them in Texas, when I’m home.

So here’s my top 5:

1. Fried roundsteak with mashed potatoes and cream gravy, as made by me, or my momma. (I think I just cried a little.)

2. Whataburger - #5 Combo: Bacon Cheeseburger, made fresh to order, with fries, and that DAMN KETCHUP THAT IS MADE WITH CRACK (any Texan will tell you that their ketchup is somehow laced with some addictive substance that requires you to eat it even when you don’t normally like ketchup - I am a prime example)

3. Sonic extra long cheese coney and a diet cherry limeade. Oh God. I hate living on the east coast.

4. Potato and Egg breakfast tacos from Las Palapas at 2 o’clock in the morning. Mmmm.

5. Houlihan’s Stuffed Chicken. It’s stuffed with garlic and herb cream cheese, covered in panko crumbs, and then baked, and served with garlic mashed potatoes, onion strings, and fresh green and yellow beans.

Can I add a 6? Cus I definitely got one! Green & Black’s chocolate, any flavor.
